Also known as ‘L-Irxoxt’, Easter Sunday in Malta commemorates the Resurrection of Christ reminding us that he rose from death. It is the most important feast in the Roman Catholic church calendar.
On this day, plenty of people watch the procession in several villages where in some of them, they run with the statue as a celebration that Jesus rose from the dead. In general, people either go out to eat or go to family and friends to have lunch.
